A past role as a cleaning contract manager gave Lorraine first-hand experience of the kind of people who trap others into modern slavery by ‘helping’ them get work then exploiting them for money. Some keen detective work on her part exposed the ring leader and enabled the workers to be employed legitimately. It is this experience, and her deep knowledge of training and audit processes related to health and safety, that prompted her to be part of Stamp Out Slavery.
