How it works…
Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking, all of which involve the deprivation of a person’s liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain. Changing legislation is creating greater liability at all levels of the supply chain, and could result in a fine or imprisonment. SOS operates in the UK, helping organisations to identify and address the risk of modern slavery and exploitation occurring in their labour supply chains.

The number of people seeking to exploit vulnerable individuals for their own gain is increasing. Even the best-run companies can fall foul of gangmasters and labour force exploiters. Through its structured annual reviews, SOS can help you to identify risks and poor practice and find ways to address them.
